Health in the whole of life
From its beginnings, Whole Life Times has approached health as something larger than the treatment of illness. Our physical wellbeing is inseparable from the ways we eat, move, sleep and respond to stress, but it is also shaped by our relationships, our communities, the environments in which we live and work, and the condition of the living Earth on which all health ultimately depends.
That broad understanding allows very different kinds of material to meet here. Nutrition and healthy ageing can sit alongside psychology and emotional wellbeing; integrative and preventive approaches can connect with environmental health, cellular science, spirituality and questions of meaning. The purpose is not to collapse these fields into one another, but to make their relationships easier to see.
As more than four decades of Whole Life Times are progressively digitised and indexed, this section will grow into a richer pathway through the magazine's continuing exploration of health, healing, wellness and human flourishing.
